Dr. Fouad El Khoury is a professional surgeon who specializes in the field of Urology and minimally invasive surgery. With extensive experience in developing medical software and applications using business intelligence and cutting-edge technology, Dr. El Khoury has differentiated himself from other surgeons in the field. His passion and dedication for the development of the medical industry and overall welfare of patients has labeled him as a widely recognized and respected specialist.
Dr. El Khoury is currently a Consultant Urologist specializing in Uro-Oncology and Robotic Surgery at Saint George Hospital University Medical Center in Beirut. He is also the Scientific Director for the Middle East at ORSI academy (OLV Robotic Surgery Institute) in Belgium (www.orsi.be), the biggest worldwide robotic surgery training center. He serves the educational field through his work as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at University of Balamand’s Faculty of Medicine in Beirut. He has authored several scientific papers and is actively involved in national and international meetings and conferences.
For the last seven years, he has mastered minimally invasive genitourinary procedures (Robotic, laparoscopic and endo-urologic) some of which are featured even in full length on Modern Care Clinic YouTube channel (www.bit.ly/fouadkhoury).
Most distinguishing is Dr. El Khoury’s future vision and entrepreneurial initiatives. One example of his initiatives is establishing SmartEMR solutions (https://ai4health.be/smart-emr/), an academic medical record software with a unique feature to solve programmed cases based on guidelines and validated references.
Graduate of the American University of Beirut and the University of Balamand in Lebanon with extensive Uro-oncology training in several renowned hospitals in Belgium, Dr. El Khoury is well experienced in demonstrating the best practices in urology and minimally invasive surgeries. He also received several certifications and diplomas in Laparoscopic and Robotic Urological Surgery with membership in distinguished societies and associations.
